The Corbett WI Book Club continues to meet regularly providing a welcoming and lively forum for book lovers to share their thoughts and ideas.  Meetings offer stimulating discussion with conversations that range from literary analysis to personal reflections inspired by the books.

Over the past months, members have read and discussed a wide variety of titles, including Middlemarch by George Eliot, Old God’s Time by Sebastian Barry, Yellowface by R.F. Kuang, The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride, As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh, Water by John Boyne, and A Treet Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

Each book is chosen by members on a rotating basis ensuring a diverse and balanced reading list that spans different genres, time periods and themes.  After discussion members score each title out of ten – with results showing a wide range of opinions and enjoyment levels! This diversity of taste and perspective makes for particularly engaging and often thought-provoking meetings.
